The Back

Posted by Suman on May 29, 2020

I was about to title this post "The back debate"

when I realized that this is no debate.

For there is no debate.

This is a one-way statement of Truth.

For Truth, unlike all the other lies floating around,

needs no debate.

For it is the entity that is there to put an end

to all debates.

The subject of this post is the human back.

I do not care what and how the mainstream or the intellects

draw out and label it,

to me the back starts from the bottom of the neck

and lasts all the way until the start of the hip.

If you look at the average athlete's back,

it will look something like this...

This is true for most professional athletes.

Yes, even those who have "hypertrophy work"

or other "work" carefully included in their training regimen.

I will now show you something else,

which will make the point that I intend to make.

For words may be enough to motivate or reason,

but are never enough to deliver raw inspiration.

Before that,

I will re-state what I stated as my understanding of the back ...

The back starts at the bottom of the neck

and lasts all the way until the start of the hip.

ALL. THE. WAY.

Do you understand?

Now,

here is the back of a few legends

who have already walked the surface of the earth...

Having this integrated, full, and continuous image of their back musculature,

with you, I urge you to look at the average back once again.

...

Do you see the difference?

The average back is merely a shadow of the real back.

It is as if they missed such a big part of the puzzle

which is the art of creating a body via weightlifting,

that they spent their lives training for a completely different sport.

or with their REAL eyes closed.

To add the "icing on the cake",

I will reveal the crux of this post...

The average back, actually, belongs to those who are

or were the "top athletes" in their respective practices and "training styles".

You know what happened to these "top athletes"?

They remained "top athletes".

They did NOT become legends.

For they remained content

with their technique, programs, and coaching,

with their struggles and PRs in training,

and with their social media likes and followers.

They hit their goals and ambitions

by either leading the "leaderboard" of something which is not really a sport

or the occasional stadium finishes for their sport

(for competitions that do not really matter),

and the chump change they got as prize money.

A part of me thinks that I am too verbose already.

For the night and day between the two sets of pictures

itself was enough to drive the point beyond home.

So I will finish with this...

If you are one such "top athlete",

I will tell you,

there is a way.

And on listening, if you go...

"How!?"

I will conclude...

The Way exists,

but only for the one does not ask "How?"

Thank you.
